Altira Business Park in Herne Bay wins Planning Appeal to build a hotel and restaurant

Kitewood the Kent based property developers have this week won an appeal decision to build a new 50 room Premier Travel Inn and Brewers Fayre family restaurant on Altira Business Park in Herne Bay, Kent.

Joe Crawley, Kitewood’s Managing Director said “We have commenced building Altira Business Park this year and are thrilled with this decision. The Whitbread hotel and restaurant will play a crucial role in providing leisure facilities for our occupiers on the business park.  We welcome this decision from Canterbury Council and look forward to continuing with our build programme for Altira Business Park, which is attracting new interest every week.  In addition to Whitbread we will be making announcements of other new occupiers next month!”

Welcome

Kitewood Group have started building the Altira Business Park, in Herne Bay. Altira consists of 28 acres of commercial land that will cater for small and large industrial users and provide flexible office space, all on a freehold or leasehold basis.

Kitewood have asked ECD Architects to advise them on creating a state-of-the art business park that will provide occupiers with attractive quality buildings which are eco-friendly and low energy in design.

Altira will have renewable energy generation on site, use energy conscious specifications for the buildings to reduce occupiers’ fuel costs and look to protect the investment occupiers make in their buildings by ensuring that the structure is in place to anticipate eco-regulatory legislation that will be placed on businesses in the future.

In addition, Altira will be an attractive workplace for Kent employees, features will include lakes, parkland, benches, a lakeside café and cycle paths.
